The move of MCC Verstraete into a new warehouse was the ideal time to get rid of items that could no longer be used. Thanks to an auction among employees, the company raised 5,850 euros for two charities.
We Care...
Due to the continued growth, we resolutely opted for a sustainable solution: the construction of a brand new building in the Rootweg, across the street from our site in Maldegem. Soon, our logistics operations will move permanently to this new location," says HR Director Maarten Joye.
On the occasion of this move, an auction was organized of furniture, appliances, office supplies... that can no longer be used. These were auctioned under closed envelopes. "Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our employees, we raised no less than €5,850."
The proceeds will be divided today between Brood(doos)nodig and the local Maldegem branch of Kom op tegen Kanker.
"We are extremely grateful for all colleagues who made an offer, made purchases, or simply came to take a look. Thanks to them, together we can make a difference for 2 local valuable initiatives," says Maarten Joye.
The move to the new warehouse marks a new milestone in MCC Verstraete's growth story. And we are far from finished. That is why we are constantly looking for new colleagues who want to build the future with us.
