MakeAMove to empower children
In Maldegem, the hometown of MCC Verstraete’s HQ, an estimated 300 children live in poverty. More than ever, the COVID pandemic showed that these children need support, especially when it comes to education and social opportunities. The city council launched The ‘MakeAMove’ project, in order to collect money to provide for 300 children aged 0 to 16 with school expenses and meals, necessary clothing and other essential costs for their social development.
MCC Verstraete stepped up and took on the lead sponsorship for this project. “Poverty is closer and more common than we might think.
Children should be able to enjoy childhood without worry or cares, that’s why we value this initiative so much. By being the lead sponsor, we want to encourage other companies to MakeAMove as well. Every child deserves to get all chances in life.
