Packaging that keeps it simple
Meridian worked with long-time packaging partner Perint to create a plastic container that makes handling their fish spreads simple.
"These spreads offer an easy way to create a tasty snack with a powerful punch," explains Olga Gorbach, Development Manager at Perint. "The packaging needed to reflect this ease by looking great and functioning flawlessly."
An easy-peel film enables access in seconds and a plastic lid makes storing the remaining product in the fridge a breeze.
Vivid, vibrant labels
The labels are designed using dark colors that draw shoppers in. The product name is endearingly expressed in handwriting on a blackboard. Enticing images of food double as serving suggestions, making the most of the packaging's available space.
There was never any question about using in mold labeling (IML). No other type of label comes close to offering the striking shelf presence that IML ensures.

Overcoming a hot challenge
The packaging designs were brought to life in full vibrancy thanks to the experts at MCC Verstraete. It wasn't a straight road to success, however. They had to overcome a rather unique challenge:
"Meridian's spreads undergo a pasteurization process," explains Mikhail Britcyn, Regional Sales Manager at MCC Verstraete. "We had to tailor a method that ensures the colors remain bright in temperatures up to 90°C."
All the hard work paid off in the end. With tastes that titillate, eye-catching labels and easy-to-use containers, Meridian's fish spreads are swimming off the shelves and straight into the mouths of happy customers.
